S. Korea's real wage rises for 4th month in June

SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's real wage, adjusted for inflation, rose for the fourth successive month in June, labor ministry data showed Thursday.

The per-capita nominal monthly average wage in businesses with one or more regular employees gained 2.8 percent over the year to 3,971,000 won (2,860 U.S. dollars) in June after growing 2.5 percent in the previous month, according to the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

The real monthly wage added 0.7 percent in June on a yearly basis after expanding 1.1 percent in March, 0.6 percent in April and 0.5 percent in May.
