SEOUL, July 21 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's export fell in the first 20 days of July due to weaker demand from the United States and Japan, customs office data showed Monday.

Outbound shipment slipped 2.2 percent from a year earlier to 36.07 billion U.S. dollars during the July 1-July 20 period, according to Korea Customs Service.

Export to the United States and Japan decreased 2.1 percent and 5.8 percent each, but those to the European Union, Vietnam and India increased in single digits.
