BEIJING, July 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Tuesday congratulated Kim Min-seok on assuming office as South Korean prime minister.
In his congratulatory message, Li said that China and South Korea are close neighbors across the sea, noting that the Chinese government places high importance on China-South Korea relations.
China stands ready to work with South Korea to enhance strategic communication, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges, strengthen multilateral coordination, so as to advance the China-South Korea strategic cooperative partnership along the right track, Li said.
