SEOUL, July 3 (Xinhua) -- One man was killed and another man was in cardiac arrest as a taxi dashed into the sidewalk in South Korea's capital Seoul, Yonhap news agency said Thursday.

The taxi rushed onto the sidewalk in northeastern Seoul at about 4:20 p.m. local time, leaving the driver in his 60s dead and putting the pedestrian in his 50s into cardiac arrest.

One taxi passenger and another pedestrian were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police were investigating the accident.
