NEW DELHI -- At least 10 people were killed and 11 others injured after the roof of a cold storage facility collapsed in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, police said Friday.

The incident took place on Thursday in Chandausi area of Sambhal district, about 373 km northwest of Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. (India-Roof Collapses)

TOKYO -- Japanese government will work closely with the country's central bank to guarantee an appropriate response to recent market volatility as a result of worries about U.S. and European banks, said a senior official from the Finance Ministry on Friday.

SEOUL -- South Korea's government on Friday saw its economy entering a slump for the second straight month on the back of weak export and slower consumption recovery.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance said in its monthly report, called Green Book, that the South Korean economy continued to see a slowdown due to a slower recovery in domestic demand, sluggish export and weak business sentiment in the manufacturing sector though inflation slightly slowed. NEW DELHI -- At least six people were killed and six others injured after a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey commercial complex in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad, police said on Friday.

The fire broke out on Thursday evening in the Secunderabad area of the city. (India-Building-Fire)
