SEOUL -- South Korean automakers' global car sale posted a double-digit growth in April, reflecting a recovery from the economic downturn, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, industry data showed Monday.

The number of vehicles, sold globally by five local automakers including Hyundai, Kia, GM Korea, Renault Samsung and Ssangyong, was 630,691 in April, up 76.9 percent from a year earlier. (South Korea-Car Sale-Growth)

JAKARTA -- The Indonesian government has extended its micro-scale community activities restriction (PPKM) and also expanded it to five other provinces to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, according to an official on Monday.
