BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The following are the updates on the global fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

BEIJING -- A total of 15 COVID-19 patients were newly discharged from hospitals after recovery on the Chinese mainland on Monday, the National Health Commission said in a daily report Tuesday.

There were 322 confirmed cases still being treated, including six in severe conditions, the report showed.

WELLINGTON -- New Zealand reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, both detected in recent returnees in managed isolation facilities.

One person arrived on Nov. 17 from India via the United Arab Emirates, and the other arrived on Nov. 19 from the United States. Both of them tested positive around the third day of isolation, according to the Ministry of Health, and they are now in quarantine at an Auckland facility.

MEXICO CITY -- Mexico's Health Ministry reported on Monday 7,483 more cases of COVID-19, bringing the country's total number of infections to 1,049,358.

The country recorded 250 more deaths in the past 24 hours, raising its COVID-19-related death toll to 101,926.

SEOUL -- South Korea reported 349 more cases of COVID-19 as of early Tuesday local time compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 31,353.

The daily caseload rose above 300 after recording 271 in the previous day. It grew in triple digits for 17 days running due to small cluster infections in Seoul and its surrounding Gyeonggi province as well as imported cases.

TRIPOLI -- Libya on Monday reported 650 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total infections to 78,473, said the National Center for Disease Control of Libya.

Meanwhile, 678 patients have recovered and 13 others died during the same period, raising the total recoveries to 49,592 and the national death toll to 1,102.

BEIJING -- China's National Health Commission said Tuesday that it received reports of 22 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland Monday, including two domestically transmitted cases and 20 imported ones.

The domestically transmitted cases were reported in Tianjin and Shanghai, the commission said in its daily report.
