South Korea News.Net
Friday 6th November, 2009

Every stock market in Asia recorded gains Friday as evidence mounted of a global economic recovery.

Asian bourses closed before the 10.20% U.S. unemployment report, however even U.S. markets shrugged off that data.

In Japan 10-year bond yields rose to 1.4550%, their highest level in more than two months, on expectations the global recovery was taking hold.

Tokyo's Nikkei 225 advanced 0.74% Friday. In China the Shanghai Composite was up 0.28%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 1.28%.

The Australian All Ordinaries topped the region with a rise of 1.89%, a significant bounce back from lows reached Thursday.

In South Korea the Seoul Composite closed 1.30% higher. Indonesia's Jakarta Composite was up 1.18%.

In Singapore the Straits Times climbed 1.10%.
