Birth control under fire in Bush designed regulation
South Korea News.Net Thursday 31st July, 2008
Health-care workers in the US may soon be able to refuse to perform abortions or prescribe birth-control methods they consider objectionable.
The Department of Health and Human Services has been asked by the Bush administration to review a draft regulation that would deny federal funding to any hospital or clinic that does not allow employees to opt out of participating in care that runs against their personal convictions.
The regulation would include the provision of birth-control pills, IUDs and the Plan B emergency contraceptive.
Conservative groups say the initiative is to safeguard doctors and other health workers who are not able to pursue their beliefs or refuse services they find abhorrent.
The draft proposal has already brought forth a torrent of criticism from family planning advocates and women's health activists.
The proposal is outlined in a 39-page draft regulation that has been circulated among several health agencies.
The FDA has not yet objected, but several members have expressed serious concerns. Email this story to a friend

Denying the best and or available medical technologies 'is of course the best concern of those that took an Oath to Serve!
'Teachers' should be allowed to teach only what they 'want' also!
'Police' should be allowed to police only what they 'want' also!
'Military Personnel' should be allowed to 'want' also! and so on with the Wants!
Some 'Jobs' the choice has to be I do not choose to take this Job!

morals
Health care professionals should have the right to refuse to abort an innocent baby if the mother is just careless and “accidently” falls pregnant. Babies are not accidents, they’re human beings. If you try and kill a baby that has already been born, you are charged with murder.
PLEASE, PLEASE, bring some morals into this society.

Freedom of choice
Every man is free do do or not to do a certain thing, if he chooses not to do, he should find another employment that has nothing to do whith what he is required to do, this is his freedom of choice.
